About Tamra Evangelista
Certified Integral Coach & Enneagram Practitioner
I believed I was following the path expected of me until it no longer aligned with my own expectations. Once I took ownership of my path, it was transformational.
I vividly recall my journey.
Hailing from Long Island, New York, I graduated from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Penn., with a dual major in psychology and gender studies. I initially pursued work in my field of studies and then transitioned to selling automobiles, but I needed more long-term fulfillment. It wasn't until I found what I believed to be a successful career in customer service at a national payroll company that I felt my life was finally on track. I got married, bought a house, and checked off all the boxes of a "successful adult." However, this wasn't the end of the story.
While I thrived in my professional career, my personal life was in turmoil. In 2012, I was struck by a life-threatening kidney infection, followed by complications and the end of my marriage. I also accepted a management promotion and relocated to Boston the following year, facing these challenges alone.
Over the next five years, I excelled in my career, earning multiple promotions. Nevertheless, I found myself increasingly unfulfilled in my job. I struggled to form new, genuine friendships and found the dating scene unappealing. I felt something needed to change, but I didn't know what. My career was on track, but I was growing weary of it and knew a change was necessary.
My passion for coaching was ignited when I began working with a financial wealth coach to organize my finances. This relationship led to a part-time role as an accountability coach, a position I found incredibly fulfilling. My dedication to developing others was evident in my role as a manager, where I thoroughly enjoyed coaching and assisting my employees in their career and personal development.
In 2016, while on a business trip, I was in a very severe car accident in Chicago, and it took me several months to recover from the injuries. Later that year, my boyfriend of almost two years unexpectedly passed away. As the new year arrived, life became extremely challenging, and I keenly felt the fragility and brevity of life in everything I did.
In August 2017, I embarked on a yoga meditation retreat in Costa Rica and met a significant individual who would help me create a safe space to explore what I needed to be happy with my life. In 2018, I took a leap of faith, moved to Idaho with my new partner, and became engaged. In August 2019, after over 16 years in my career, I resigned from my company to start a new career as a coach and opened my coaching practice, Inner Depths Empowerment Coaching.

Now residing in Ouray, CO, you'll often find me outdoors when I'm not working, as I have a deep love for nature. I enjoy skiing, rock climbing, hiking, snorkeling, and paddle boarding whenever I am near the coast or a lake. I volunteer at the local no-kill animal shelter, where I find joy in assisting with the cat side of the house. I relish the quiet moments at home, snuggled up with my husband and my two cat-sons, Cal & Hobbes. Additionally, I love to cook, consider myself a wine connoisseur, indulge in murder mysteries and fantasy novels, and have a slight obsession with science fiction movies, particularly those involving zombies.

About Inner Depths Coaching
Connect
The Integral Method is about connecting with our heads, hearts, and bodies and integrating the knowledge these three centers provide. We practice utilizing our whole selves in the coaching process and learn to leverage them in our day-to-day experiences. When we develop all our intelligence centers, and leverage them to help us when making decisions, we start to make choices in our lives that are aligned with our needs and desires.
Look Inward
Inner Depths Empowerment Coaching is about looking inward with an open mind and a compassionate heart towards yourself. It’s about seeing yourself as you truly are—all your pieces and accepting each nook and cranny you find. Looking into your inner depths, rather than seeing yourself through the lenses of others, you start to believe in yourself. You connect with your knowing, courage, and power. Deep down, you know what is best for you. You simply need to listen.
Empower
You are as deep as the ocean, and you have the strengths and resilience of the highest mountains. Let me work with you to peel back the layers and see what you can rediscover. Empower yourself to live your best life. The life you were meant to live because YOU choose it.
What is the Enneagram?
Self-Awareness
The Enneagram is an archetypal framework that offers in-depth insight that describes 9 core personality types, with 27 subtypes (3 per core type), that interconnect through lines and wings. It’s a model that creates self-awareness and uncovers the patterns of behavior that sub-consciously drives and motivates us to act in certain ways. When we make these patterns and motivations conscious, we are able to transcend them and develop richer, more supportive ways of being. Working with the Enneagram empowers individuals to take responsibility for their own behaviours and growth, from a greater understanding of why they act and react the way they do.
A map for personal growth
The Enneagram offers a rich map to personal development from an open systems perspective. It does not box in people, but rather opens a pathway to self-discovery and greater personal awareness.
The Enneagram model is a map of personality structures that helps us find our core self when we lose our way. Knowing how to orient to this roadmap of personality allows us to navigate the complex inner terrain of ego, and remember where and who we actually are. Even a very good map is only as useful as our ability to stop and look at it, the knowledge to read it, and the presence of mind to recognize where we are to begin.
A tool for self-compassion
As a framework, the Enneagram also speaks to the journey of integration and development in a profound way. It is able to uncover the uniqueness of each individual and their journey. It will present the patterns, which holds an individual back, and at the same time, offers insights into the journey towards strength and liberation, connecting us to our strengths and higher selves.
What if there is nothing wrong with you?
The Enneagram will inform that you are not broken, help you learn to accept all of your pieces that make up you, and how you can continue to build on all that is beautiful and unique about you! Working with the Enneagram is a way to help build self-compassion, compassion for others, reduce your own reactivity to triggers, and build capacity for self-acceptance. Not only is it empowering and impactful for self-development, but (the Enneagram) also works extremely well within relationships, teams, and organizations.
